Girls Sewing School

We created and operated a sewing school for girls in Azad Kashmir. The initial school was operated in a tent and was later moved to the OMEED Ecodome after it was constructed, giving young women a comfortable and safe space to learn skills.

Earthquake Relief – 2005 Earthquakes

In the aftermath of the 2005 earthquakes in Azad Kashmir, OMEED provided  emergency medical care, food supplies and building materials to help survivors rebuild their homes.  We also distributed winter clothing to boys and girls attending school in makeshift tent schools in the unusually cold winter in this mountainous region.

Flood Relief – 2010 Floods

In 2010, OMEED worked with numerous volunteers and local organizations to deliver food and emergency supplies to remote villages in the Neelum Valley that were badly affected by the floods in July of 2010.
